Friedrich — Northern Landscape, Spring

Slate sky, patches of snow and ochre ridges give this northern landscape a spacious, spare rhythm. Tiny figures hold their place within the wider terrain, inviting a closer look. We chose Friedrich’s scene for its cool palette and measured distance: a quietly arresting work for an entry, study or living room with stone, timber and simple forms.

Paper, pigment and presentation

Printed to order by fine-art specialist theprintspace using the giclée process, with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm. This 100% cotton paper has a gently textured matte surface suited to subtle color and fine detail. It is acid- and lignin-free.

An ivory window mat gives the image room to breathe. Cut from 1.4 mm acid-free board with a 45° bevel, it sits within a slender Nielsen Quadrum wood frame: 16 mm across the face and 25 mm deep. Choose black or an oak finish; the oak option is solid wood finished with an oak veneer.
