Ilsted — Morning Sun

Warm light settles across a quiet interior, drawing out the measured shapes of the room and its furniture. Ilsted’s original color mezzotint holds cream, muted olive and brown within a delicate tonal range. We chose this work for the intimacy of its domestic space—a thoughtful companion to a reading chair, bedside table or closely arranged group of art.

Paper, pigment and presentation

Printed to order by fine-art specialist theprintspace using the giclée process, with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm. This 100% cotton paper has a gently textured matte surface suited to subtle color and fine detail. It is acid- and lignin-free.

An ivory window mat gives the image room to breathe. Cut from 1.4 mm acid-free board with a 45° bevel, it sits within a slender Nielsen Quadrum wood frame: 16 mm across the face and 25 mm deep. Choose black or an oak finish; the oak option is solid wood finished with an oak veneer.
