Blue, green and peach gather into the shape of a mountain, with dark pine curves holding the foreground. Cézanne leaves each passage of color distinct enough to follow with the eye. The landscape brings structure and warmth to a living room or study, pairing naturally with a spare arrangement of wood, stone and linen.

Open-edition fine-art reproduction, printed and framed to order.

Cotton paper and pigment

Printed using the giclée process, with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308 gsm. Made from 100% cotton, this acid- and lignin-free paper has a substantial weight and a soft, lightly felted surface. Its fine texture gives the image a quiet, tactile setting, while the matte finish is suited to the open blue and peach passages and the darker curves of the pines, without a glossy paper sheen.

Frame and mat

The image sits within an ivory window mat, cut from 1.4 mm acid-free board with a 45° bevel. The bevel creates a crisp, sloping edge; the ivory surround leaves a visual pause before the frame. A Nielsen Quadrum wood frame supplies a slender 16 mm face and 25 mm depth. The narrow profile keeps the composition in focus while giving the finished piece a measured presence on the wall. Choose black for a clear outline, or oak veneer over solid wood for a warmer finish.

Dimensions

  • Paper: 50 × 40 cm (approximately 19.7 × 15.7 in)
  • Printed image and mat opening: approximately 41.6 × 33 cm (16.4 × 13 in)

Measurements are width × height. Inch equivalents are approximate.

About the original artwork

Cézanne returned repeatedly to Mount Sainte-Victoire near Aix-en-Provence. In this view, painted around 1904, two umbrella pines stand between the viewer and the mountain. A branch reaching across the sky echoes the slope beyond, making a connection between the near shapes and the distant ridge.

  • Artist: Paul Cézanne
